Cottage Supersearch

The Supersearch is built using Google technology and brings back the results from over 150 web sites listed on www.cottages.co.uk. So no crazy results from Borneo or wherever!

Getting the best results is an acquired art, so here are our Top Five suggested searches. To use any of them you can either copy and paste the words into the search box, or just type it in yourself. Once you have seen our searches you may come up with even better ones yourself – please let us know at search@cottages.co.uk. (use this for any feedback on search results too, please).

1
Wheelchair -inaccessible -unsuitable -"not suitable"

If you are a wheelchair user, you know how limited your choices are. So you don’t want a search that just brings back a list of things saying unsuitable. This search should cut out at least some of the problems.

2
"open fire" beach

For many of us it’s the romantic ideal, a walk on the beach followed by curling up in front of a real fire. If it’s one specific beach you want you can add the name, but there may not be many results. The picture shows guests at one of my favourite beaches, Barley Cove in West Cork, Ireland.

3
"three dogs" OR "3 dogs"

Owners of three dogs will know how hard it is to find a cottage that takes them. This search should help you quickly find some possibilities, regardless of how they present “3” on the page.

4
Unusual OR remarkable OR quirky OR exceptional

Live a little! This search is designed to pull out the weird and wonderful. Pullwood House (see pic) on the shore of lake Windermere was one of the results.

5
"surfing beach" cornwall

If you are going away to do something specific, then you can combine the activity with a location in your search. How about this apartment overlooking Porthmeor Beach?

Good luck with your searching!
